There should be four options, I’d say Naz now, Bo future.
all you have to do is be younger to get voted ahead of a better leaf.
Well, when you are younger and better, whats the point of voting for the other person? No logic here. You have Leaf fans voting for Horvat and admitting hes better in this thread.
Yeah that hasn't happened yet
Debatable. I mean they are really close right now. One could argue one is a tad bit better than the other, but i mean the gap is 5 years. Would anyone be actually surprised if Horvat was better this year? This is projecting now as in this season im assuming.
Im not saying he can't be better than Kadri, but I don't think he has taken that step yet. You are right, it could happen this year.
We just going to ignore that Horvat got more ice-time at both ES and on the PP if you are going to look at pace and linemates? Those factors are sort of important. 40 seconds a game on the PP adds up pretty quickly over an entire year.I would say last season they were pretty much equal.
Horvat was on pace for 28+28=56. (Its not like he only played like 30 games, he played 64) Im dead confident he would have hit around that mark.
Kadri had 32+23=55
Kadri had approximately 40% of his even strength points with Marner and Marleau as his linemates
Horvat had approximately 40% of his even strength points with Baertschi and Boeser.
Kadri had 34% of his points come on the PP
Horvat had 29% of his points come on the PP
I think its fair to say Kadri is what he is right now and i dont know the situation with Tavares in the mix.
Horvat is going to be playing #1 C for the Canucks all season with Boeser as his linemate all year.

Well, you can't look at PP time in the abstract like that. A 3/4 of PP's are killed, most of the times even higher. So, when examing the whole thing it does. More ice-time equals more opportunity to score. Plus, isn't a teams PP converting more when you on the ice a positive trait. But, the reason the Kadri gets less PP time is that the Leafs tend to run two equal units.lol Horvat had less of a % of his total points as PP points than Kadri does so that makes no sense. Who cares if you get 10 PP minutes per game and never score? Also more ice time does not automatically equal more production. Maybe you get more PP time because your pp does not convert as often, therefore you have more PP minutes.
Player A scores 5 seconds into the PP, gets 1 point and 5 seconds of PP time, player B scores 1 minute into the PP, gets 1 point and 1 minute of PP time. Does that mean player A should have scored more because he got less pp time? no.
They were pretty damn even last year.

I'd actually say if you get 10 mins a game and your unit never converts, that is probably a sign that you aren't a good PP player. Players need to take advantage of an opportunity.
