Long Dark Blues
^ That song and the Band of Horses song you posted a couple months back have been getting some airplay on XRT lately, good stuff!

I recently discovered the Kruger Brothers, now one of my favorite bands. Originally from Switzerland, discovered American bluegrass and moved to North Carolina. They do some straight bluegrass and some other really creative stuff (like playing with a string quartet)

Long Dark Blues
I'M LOOKING FOR SOME RECOMMENDATIONS

Late 60's, early/mid 70's southern rock, swamp rock, country rock, country blues(from any era), cosmic american music, etc..
Mainly looking for lesser know artists, band, songs, albums. also any deep cuts or great old live performances from the big names.

Hm, wondering why there are so many American songs about Saskatoon?

Saskatoon Rag (Goldberg, 1915)
Girl in Saskatoon (Cash, 1960)
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (Simpson, 1965)
A Little Bit South of Saskatoon (James, 1975)

I know Cash regularly visited Saskatoon because he fished north of there but don't know why James or Simpson wrote their songs.
