Now we just need Kaner to come away healthy. That was a nasty collision with the boards. That's exactly how mine was when I dislocated my ankle this summer, but I slid into the boards on my knees feet first. Same exact spot on the ice. Was scary to see him get up slow.

Kane, Debrincat and Strome led our forwards in ice time (I believe that's the most minutes Strome has played in his career).

Dahlstrom was second... SECOND for our defenseman in ice time (Jokiharju 4th for those wondering)

Martinsen was #1 star. We will NEVER see that again.

Honestly
..Dahltrom was our best player ...that is why JC used him a lot down the final few minutes of the game
.He even used him at RD on one shift paired with Manning then on another shiftvatvLD paired with Seabrook ..I thought that those two would drag DahlStrom into the abyss with them but he survived those 2 horrors. .He was very good playing with Murphy most of this game.

I like the way he shot the puck from the point ..quickly and a lot of them on target ...somehow he did not get a lot of his shots blocked .....anyway he looked great doing that and in anticipating the position to be to get point shots off..

I thought he passed very well too..

He also was terrific on the gap stick breaking up rushes from the neutral zone .. And he used his size to lean on guys to get them off pucks..

In total very very impressed at the Competency he showed in how one mustvplayvthe D position..

It was the bestvofcanyvof the den I have seen this season. .Hopefully not a 1-off good game ..but maybe we found a "solid" reliable Competent dman..mforca change ..myou know.

If he plays like this going forward JC will be relying on him a lot and hopefully reduce the risk time when 7 and 23 are reluctantly used..

I cant put much on Hawks after bleeding Vcash on them this year and losing a lot with Panthers/Eagles and others collapsing in NFL in recent weeks. A lot of upsets costing me Vcash in recent weeks in NFL.

The Hawks have competed during this stretch, maybe not for sixty minutes, but they've competed in a way that used to win them games. The go-to guys can't be part of that anymore. Did you see that stretch in the third with a Pen skating out from behind the net and turning Seabs around and then getting to the front? Someone should post that clip. Thats a perfect example of Seabs limitations one-on-one. Opposing teams watch films and prep their players for situations like that.

One other thing. Many bad teams without a prior history of winning would have punched out when they saw one more bottom-six guy struggling this year having a season-high performance against them like Rust did tonight. The Hawks didn't punch out. Good for them.

I actually forgot all about vcash until you brought it up earlier. Had 50,000 so I ended up betting 30,000 on the off chance the Hawks would actually win tonight. Very happy with the returns, but thought it was funny that we were listed right next to each other on Sportsbooks main page and the fact I had 10 times the amount won.
