It's MJ's arrogance that gets me and why I stopped being a fan. At least Karmanos excuse was that he was an incompetent senior citizen that needed money.

I briefly met him once at some fan-event thing when I had partial season tickets. I wasn't planning to engage in a conversation with him so just shook his hand.

He clearly did not want to be there and brushed everything off onto whoever the GM was at the time (Rod Higgins IIRC). It was only like an hour long and he walked out after 10 minutes. Was told by some season-ticket holders afterwards that the previous one he didn't show up at all despite it being advertised that he would. Could have been family emergency or something but he just doesn't seem to know how to interact with the general public. Probably not his fault given his fame, but still.
