PZ was awful that shift on the second goal allowed, but he was ok later in the game aside from a failed clear on the pk late

Obvious we were not that sharp, sloppy throughout , but banking points early and learning from mistakes is key today.

We played an almost flawless game vs Wash, outplayed Edm, so I'm not worried about a sluggish day today aside from the PP.

Kink shut the gate down late, nice to see, Great to earn the 2 points at home

Tough week ahead with a lot of speed and skill in Dallas, Col and Philly

About a hour ago I finished watching the DVR recording of the Devils game. What a terrific game. Kyle he is going crazy in the first 3. Kinkaid played his best game so far. Lots of major saves under lots of pressure. I would have had Kinkaid in the 1, 2, & 3 but I wasn't voting.

noesen did not have a good game at all. botching that 3-on-1, inexplicably going offside when hall was coming in with speed, missing some wide open teammates at other times. really made me miss bratt.

mojo seemed fine but zacha had a few hiccups, not nearly as good as the caps game.

Mojo had 2 give aways similar to Zacha's. That line was poop. Rather odd given how good they were the game before.

I think this game was also a very significant step up in competition.

Yes Washington is good but they were flat having played the day before... basically I don't think we saw the real Caps...but I think that San Jose gave us a lot to handle.
I think this San Jose game was the first substantial measuring stick for our team.

He should've been 1st star against Washington. A shutout is a shutout. And he turns back 37 today and gets nothing. Really?

The thing about Johansson-Zacha-Noesen today is that they were skating okay, they just weren't executing at all. That seems like a much more fixable problem than if they were just getting blown off the puck. Zacha flubbed the shot in the 1st, Noesen blew that pass also, he couldn't stay onside on the 2 on 1 - who knows what the line looks like territorially if those result in shots at net (and indeed some of them were great scoring chances that went for naught).

It may have to do with the match-ups. They probably had an easier time against Washington, perhaps because they're a less pressuring team.
