You were predicting something like 50 goals and 110 points for Bedard's rookie season, that's pretty much McDavid's territory for a rookie season

No doubt. Not here to argue being wrong.

I made the prediction with the caveat that he played a minimum of 80 games and if you go back to my original post on page 1, I expected at least 50 goals from Chicago as a collective team. I didn’t think they would be even worse than last year. Half my post revolves around what they scored before Bedard’s arrival and what Crosby, Ovechkin, and McDavid’s did before theirs.

But that still makes me dead wrong. More than a few expected Chicago to crumble at scoring even more than last year.

I think McDavid would have flirted with 100 in his own rookie season had he played the whole slate. I thought I was being kind by adding about 5-10% more for Bedard, but not the 15% higher scoring the league environment, thus not thinking he was having a McDavid level rookie season.

Chicago would still be the lowest scoring team by 10 goals if they put up 174 in 2015-2016. That needs to be taken into consideration.

Finished with 1 goal in his last 14 games.
Safe to say he's the worst 1st overall pick of all time.

Give me a break, Crosby was playing with Andy Hilbert & Colby Armstrong in his rookie year and put up 102 pts, while playing in the second worst team in the league. Malkin only debuted the year after.

McDavid's Oilers were also second last in his rookie year, yet he still managed to finish 3rd in ppg. Also, Draisaitl wasn't an elite player then.

There's absolutely no excuse. Generational players all starts with lottery teams and should be among elites from day 1 (see Crosby & McDavid), Bedard should be no different here.
Crosby got half of his points on the PP his rookie year.
