Well done Strawberry Fields! I'm in if you do another one.
I was thinking one of the other big British rock bands if I did another. Probably one of Zeppelin, The Who, or the Stones. Zeppelin and The Who have a more optimal studio album count, and one more comparable to the Beatles (in terms of numbers), than the Stones. But I would be up for any suggestions.

Well, The Who are my all-time favorite but I also love the Stones and Zep. So, I'm in!

@Violenza Domestica is right, There's a Place got 5 votes for favorite off of Please Please Me. I completely glossed over it and it's been added to the post. My apologies.

Oh no need to apologize! That was lots of fun and your own work, you have every right to skip over any of my songs :)

And I was hoping you'd go for Suicidal Tendencies!! ;-)

Or Alice Cooper? But I'll go for anything.

Thanks for putting in all the hard work, Strawberry Field. That was a blast.

It's amazing. Out of all that output, I only had to replay about half a dozen songs to remember what they sounded like. I think that is only going to happen with The Beatles, though.

Yeah, same here, except there were more forgotten songs than I realized! In fact, I didn't pick a "Least Favourite" for two or three records because some of the song titles left me blank. Imagine discovering unknown Beatles songs at my age...

I have a second survey narrowed down to three bands. Would you guys prefer if I just chose one of them myself or made a new thread with a poll for you to choose? If the latter, I can have a new thread up after work. I probably wouldn't make and post the new survey until this weekend regardless.

I should of had that one on my list as well but since it's your favorite, what do you think of this cover, it's not their best beatles cover as they do a much better Lucy in the Sky and Dear Prudence.

I think it sucks ass! :) It's a monotonous song, but you still need to be able to sing to convey the hypnotic feel to it.

You have to admire the attempt though, it's the perfect song to break your teeth/neck on. Most either stay too close to the original (and are just not The Beatles) or try to bring it in a different direction and lose it entirely.

This to me is an interesting cover:

I am shocked at both of your choices for Abbey Road. Unless of course you meant to say Something was your favourite and Maxwell’s silver hammer was your least favourite.

Haha, wow! Well, to each their own. I’d take any song off abbey road over MSH.
Well, most of that album is pretty overrated ("Octopus Garden," "Something," "You Never Give Me My Money," etc. are all pretty mediocre). The only real masterpieces IMO are "Come Together," "MSH" (has the bite that one normally does not associate with the Beatles), "Golden Slumbers," and "Carry That Weight."

Although, TBH, The Beatles don't have too many albums that are consistent throughout, without any clankers. Their best are as good as they get, but their bad are just... bad. Their most consistent albums, for my money, are "Help" and "Revolver." The latter is one of the best albums ever made.
