The Penguins confirm.

The Penguins feel they have realy put together a nice forward group now, and even though Jordan Staal will be missed, we feel this is a gives the team more depth.

Wow Lifflaff, you got way more than I was proposing. Good trade on both parts. Nikita Filatov is a mystery going forward and I think a change of organizations would be good for him.

Like I said, the bids were high;) had other good proposals aswell, but I couldn't say no to this. I think Filatov could be good with Malkin

Yes, and I think that Staal can be a great addition to our 1st or 2nd line. We also got a 1st round pick to add a player to our already great prospect pool.

yes, and Voracek with Crosby. And in CBJ Staal is a sure thing so a 1-2-3 punch of Jordan Staal, D. Brassard, and Ryan Johansen would be tough to compete with.

Yeah I definitely think Staal helps your center depth. A combo of Johanson, Staal and Vermette down the middle would look scary in the future

Patrice Cormier, 58th overall

Stephen Weiss, 64th overall

"We feel Cormier fits what we are trying to build in florida: 2-way, hard working, agressive players, we wish Weiss the best of luck in Atlanta"

Any quality 6th d men available? Preferably LH shot, age is not a factor, but would like a contract under 1m. Niskanen is available, prospects can be added, any one else on the roster can allso be had, except the obvious untouchables
