If the asking price for Subban would really be Duchene, Barrie, #10, I really doubt they add to him in order to get MacKinnon.

If we trade something along those lines (Duchene Barrie 10, or Barrie 10 Mikko) Sakic and Roy should be fired instantly.

Ask is not the same as eventual cost. You always begin at a high price to see who will come up to it.

Barrie for 4th overall, 4th + something else for Subban. As for why MTL doesn't just trade with EDM directly - I don't know. Maybe Bergevin likes Sakic more than he likes Chiarelli.

Sure we can. Duchene + 10 for Subban. They trade 9 and 10 to move up and draft Dubois. Or they trade Duchene to Columbus for 3rd OVR +.

That I would do, probably as close to a hockey trade as you could get IMO. I wonder if the Jets or CBJ would do #9 & #10 for #2 or #3?

I'll say this? Who do we pair with Subban? Zadorov will not work, and Bigras is not ready for that yet?

We're missing a lot up front with two high end draft picks still developing and not able to contribute at the NHL level.

What about #10 & Varlamov for #6 after that?

This is about what it would look like if we did that trade and signed Radulov. We'd be missing a #3 center still IMO (A #2 center if you feel like Soda is better as a #3).

Yeah, all eurolanche said was there are reports the Avs made an offer for PK, nothing more.

As far as right wingers go, we have Rantanen, Iginla, Martinsen @ this stage, so using a 3rd rounder to acquire Yakupov would automatically make him our best right winger.

Especially if that's all it costs us.

I really think his speed and skill would do wonders with Mackinnon. Then, if what RockLobster comes to fruition, we sign Radulov, things are looking much healthier.

If we could then re-sign Matthias, that would be amazing.
