Speculation: Auston Matthews goal/points total 2018-2019 season

His shots are so deceiving.

Bishop all squared up, anticipating top shelf, but if you look at face of Matthew's stick as he redirects the puck (with pinpoint accuracy) to Tavares' stick that is down.

If only the D skate hadn't been there it would have been B2B hatty for JT lol.

Matthews now projected to finish with 144 goals, ROFL . . .
I've always contended that Matthews has a way better shot at getting 50 than Laine. He's not a one trick pony like Laine, who only has that incredible shot (granted, it IS Ovechkin-like), Matthews has excellent vision as well, is an elite stickhandler, and is willing to get dirty/go to the net. That's where you pick up the extra 10-15 "garbage goals" you need to get over 50 goals consistently . . . look at Ovie for an example of that.

Matthews looks like a 60 goal scorer the way he's going, and obviously he needs to stay healthy, and it's a long season and defences will improve . . . but damn, is this ever fun to watch.
