Athletes get hurt all the time in situations you can't predict. Back in 2002, footballer Julien Escudé was set to make a huge transfer from Rennes (France) to Manchester United. Until he slipped while walking his dog, injuring his knee and seeing the transfer fall through.

That same summer, Spanish goalkeeper Santiago Cañizares missed the World Cup after accidentally shattering a bottle of aftershave in his hotel sink. A piece of glass fell on his foot, severing a tendon in his big toe.

Michael Stensgaard, a Danish goalkeeper, was forced to retire after suffering an injury to his shoulder while he attempted to fold down an ironing board.
Sure, but the risk isn’t the same doing ‘anything’. It definitely goes up by playing in the ASG versus taking a shit or hanging out with family for the weekend, especially for goalies- many of us remember Richter tearing up his knee

God bless that dog. Saved him from being sent to a small club.

I’m not questioning you, but the veracity of this one may be dubious. I am struggling to imagine a situation where a bottle of aftershave falls into the sink with the velocity needed to launch tendon severing shrapnel across the room. I’m going to guess the official story and the truth of that injury may not be one and the same.

He's a goalkeeper, so he instinctively lunged towards the shrapnel in an effort to block it with his body.

People take it way too seriously, even if Mika has been better than Bread this season, do we really think his milquetoast ass would be more entertaining at all star weekend than Bread? Lol, this is for fun and doing stupid shit. Bread is the ideal player for this. And he’s never been to an ASG so he definitely deserves to experience it once.
id love to see Zibby in the slashot comp, also Zib's hair w/ no helmet more than makes up for his lack of skill compared to Panarin.

Although neither really deserve the ASG, ZIb only has 49 points in 49 games

Is that a mistake, or are they actually having Shesty shoot the puck?

Some crappy choices

No McDavid or Hughes for fastest skater?
Panarin for accuracy shooting instead of breakaway challenge?
Also why are there so few shooters for the breakaway challenge? Didn't everybody used to go?

A little disappointed Fox isn't in the accuracy contest, because I think that'd be a slam dunk
