His biggest issue is he sucks and constantly loses his net. No idea why some of you seem married to him. He ain’t it. Why defend him?
He's young and its a tank year. Why throw him away so soon? He's only really had one bad game this year. If he really isn't any good the worst case scenario is he helps lead the team to another high pick.

Soderblom doesn’t bring confidence in his game to the team…Alex Stalock did last year, you could tell, the team plays better in front of some goalies, but hey do not for Soderblom…heck call up that Stauber kid, he went 5-1 last year

So what does that mean for Soderblom?

Stauber NHL 5-1-0, AHL 9-11-0

Soderblom NHL 3-18-2, AHL 36-27-7
Are you just being silly or seriously think Stauber has looked like he has ongoing NHL talent? What year is it... wins are not a goalie stat.

They didn't ag better in front of him... that scored 5 goals 3 of those games and 4 goals the other 2 wins Stauber had. Those were mainly the games in Jaunary & February where Kane was putting it all out there to boost his trade value.

This team is awful defensively and especially pre-deadline, worse than last year.

.884 save percentage and 3.86 GAA. Nothing but room for growth there because he can’t get any worse. The sky is the limit.

I've never seen Soderblom as anything more than a backup.

Commesso has always been the goalie of the future.

We'll see what happens with Gajan, but drafting him over Cristall was a mistake. I think they could've easily had him at 44 instead of Kantserov which was another mistake.

Trying to evaluate Soderblom on a rebuild team is tough. If you look at all the bottom teams none of them have shining stars between the pipes in those situations. Even Levi is struggling in Buffalo, some were picking him for the Calder. Commesso might be able to step in when this team is on the way up which will help his chances.

Very weak excuse

Mrazek = 4-5 with 2.89 GAA and .915 sv pct
Soderblom = 1-6 with 3.86 GAA and .884 sv pct

Both goalies are playing behind same rebuild team

The physical tools and potential are enough to keep him here. If it was 2013? Sorry kid we got bigger plans. 2023? Let him fail or flourish. Pressure creates diamonds
I mean, it's not like we even have a choice this year, since there is absolutely nothing behind him. But he isn't a good goalie, and they should be looking elsewhere next year.

Arvid's soda is flat.

He let in 2 bad goals last night.

He let's in a bad goal or 2 in the majority of his starts. He's not an NHL goalie at this point and he should not be developing in the NHL but management wanted to give him a shot.

I don't see a future for him in the NHL. He has too many flaws in his game.

He can look good at times but looking good doesn't cut it.
