The bottom line with Ottawa is that Eugene Melnyk is the worst owner in hockey and quite possibly all sports. Ottawa is screwed. At least Jacobs sits back and lets his employees do their jobs.

Retire-retire? Or LTIR-retire?

It's injury-related, of course, but he's officially retired per Holland. The Red Wings become even more dreadful. 40 points shy of 1000 regular season points, but his .42 goals per game in playoff games (57 in 137) are even more impressive.

Erik Karlsson is seriously all class, though. He should never even be in that position to begin with... while I feel somewhat bad for Sens fans, the team as a whole doesn't deserve EK.

Is it just me, or is the entire league trying to set a record for preseason injuries? :help:

I don't think I've seen a division as bad as the Atlantic this year in ages. You'd have to go back to the old southeast division 15-20 years ago. Two or three good teams then just garbage.
