i was thinking 70 could be tough but then i saw they play us twice the last week of the season should be good for ~4 goals between those two at least

Twice? Try three times.

Will be interesting to see how ESPN stretches out a ten minute story into a 45+ minute show. Cliff's Notes for the younger folks:

- Avalanche won the Cup in 1996 but were hemorrhaging money due to the arena plus their owners also were losing money with the Nuggets.

- Despite being a contender, they jettisoned some useful depth pieces after the Cup to shed payroll (Chris Simon, Curtis Leschyshyn) in 1996. Eventually traded Scott Young and Mike Ricci as well.

- Rangers/Knicks president Dave Checketts learns of their financial struggles. They front load an offer to Sakic which includes a 15 million dollar signing bonus. Sakic signs it on August 7.

- Colorado doesn't have the money, but one of their owners was a producer on the Harrison Ford movie Air Force One which was released July 25. When the movie becomes a hit, they now have the money to match.

I remember this at the time it was happening, but I don't think I've ever heard the part about the movie.

I don't think I'll ever be bored enough to watch this. Even the trailer doesn't make it look remotely interesting.

You guys are killing me, time to get off here for now, going to watch the Titanic for the first time, simple love story to ease my mind, unless you want to ruin that too.
Spoiler : The Titanic completes its voyage and nothing of note occurs. :sarcasm:

EDIT : removed spoiler tag because....blindness.
