Dallas was gonna be different this year. They are still a one line team, no offensive depth, their defense is still meh and Bishop is as inconsistent as ever.

It’s weird thinking the Hawks put up more of fight than they are. I mean we had Cam Ward in net playing his third game in four nights.

Nylanders bargaining position keeps getting weaker as the Leafs offense keeps humming with Kap doing really well in his spot. They still can’t stop giving up high end scoring chances though. Base of Nylander for a defenseman makes a lot of sense if they can find the right deal.

If they thought it would be this difficult they should have moved him in the offseason.

They're not going to trade a hold-out. All that does is send the message to every other player they bargain with that 'if you hold out, you'll get your money, it just might be somewhere else'. They'd rather send the message 'you hold out, you lose dollars for the season you sit out and you still end up agreeing to our terms... so don't be stupid'.

My honest opinion is that Cup banners, conference championship banners, divisional championship banners, and retired numbers should be the only things that hang from the rafters. Anything else, including Presidents' Trophies, should not be up there, especially as if you fail to win the Stanley Cup a PT banner would just be a constant reminder that your team underachieved when push came to shove when it really mattered, and the Cup banners and retired #s are the only things that warrant ceremonies while you raise them.

*10 years from now*
Dad: See that, son? That's a Presidents' Trophy banner. We had the best record that year.
Son: How'd we do in the playoffs that year?
Dad: *screams internally*

Well they award trophies for advancing to the Cup Finals and being the representative team from the East or West. I'm fine with that banner. Also fine with the President's Trophy banner as well. Being the best regular season team isn't easy and while it doesn't mean much without corresponding playoff success, it's still a noteworthy achievement.

Western Conference regular season champs though???

That USA number... wow!

Bobby, fiddy and a couple others are definitely gonna say something about the Hawks being bottom 5 in size numbers though.
