Oilers didn't really generate much 5 on 5 but Smith was good again. He'll definitely need to steal some games for them in the playoffs. Maybe even a series.
Smith might be more dangerous than Hellebuyck in the playoffs. Helle could still potentially turn it on come playoff time but he hasn't been a world beater this season, certainly not recently. Hell based on his career this would be his "down swing" year before swinging back up again.
Goes from a .918 SV% to a .907, up to a .924 then down to a .913, then up again to a .922 only to drop again to a .912. His GAA every year follows a similar pattern.
Still, both Smith and Hellebuyck have performed better than either of Montreal's goaltenders, the only real fear there is that Price could turn it on in the playoffs, but it's more likely Helle finds his game than Price, though Price has by far the better playoff stats between the two, so who knows.
