Ducks will get in the playoffs over us on loser points alone...if we had as many OT losses as them we would have 51 points.

No points for Kucherov tonight. Hopefully the start of a 10 game pointless streak.

If life is fair, Gaudrat gets no points tonight either.

Really hoping for McDavid to put together a 5+ point night one of these games to jump in front of everyone and reel in Kuch.

How are the islanders better? Basically same team as last year, minus Tavares. Would guess a bit of luck is involved, but must be more than that to it.

Coaching probably helps.

Also not surprised at all that the Coyotes are getting mangled by the Flames. It really just shows you the gap.

Hell even the Canucks managed to take out the Panthers easily.

Canucks hammered, absolutely annihilated the same Florida club we had loads of trouble with just days ago, nearly losing to them.

Flames beating up the Yotes, putting boots to them.

Really underscores how bad the Oilers are. Just days ago people are posting up our schedule against "weak" teams. Which team (any) is actually weaker than us? We got slaughtered by LA Kings. Without all world performances from McD, Drai, Nuge this season this club is last in the league by a mile.

Panthers are playing their third game in four nights out West and Arizona is on the second game of a back-to-back. No argument our team is playing like garbage right now but those two teams are fresh meat tonight.

At least the Cactus League and the Grapefruit League starts up soon. Something else to watch while other teams make charges to the playoffs and another Oilers season succumbs after a long, miserable and slow death.

You'd think death by a 1000 cuts would be quick, but it's really not.

Teams must be shellshocked playing the Oilers one night and the Flames the next. The difference in talent and style is night and day.

We should offer sheet Tkachuk :)

You need to have a willing participant to sign an offer sheet. Even if we had the cap space and the required draft picks, Tkachuk would flush an offer sheet from us down the toilet. He lives three hours away, I’m sure he’s well versed in the absolute shit show our franchise is. The overpayment would have to be ridiculous to get him to come here, like $10,000,000/season.

Is it just me or does it seem like they have an awful lot of games where they play a team on the 2nd of a back to back after playing us?

It's you. The Oilers get to play the team on the end of a back-to-back 6 more times than the Flames. The Flames also play 'tired' games 2 more times than we do. There are no excuses...we're that bad.

Yup. In fact, the Oilers play the most teams on the second half of a back-to-back in the entire league and it's not close.

I wasn't really serious. But for sure a pre-requisite to make any player interested in our team would be a total revamp of the management team. There can't be many, if any, players and agents left that don't know what a disaster Lowe, Nicholson, MacT, Chia and the gang are.
