It looked that way last year too, and then (if memory serves) there was a metro wildcard. But I also mean, if, say, Toronto and NYR both miss the playoffs, that's 2 points for a team that's not NYR.

Obviously it's bad for us. That's the cloud. But if we want to look for positives, there's a tiny one.

Would of made my night if Flip scored on that 2 on 1. Just because he has been on the 3rd line begging for chemistry, finally got it last night, played excellent, but he did not show up on the score-sheet. Not taking anything away from Kuch but felt Flip certainly earned at least one goal.

It sucks, we should of been up like 5 - 1 at least.
