Remember all of those Russian reports that had the Coyotes poised to sign KHL leading scorer Dmitrij Jaškin? They were correct. Sources finally confirmed that Jaškin’s signing will be announced on July 28, the opening of free agency. Ian Oland reported that Jaškin will sign a two-year $3.6 million contract. I have not confirmed those numbers.

guy averaged like 3goals/year the last 3 years he was in the NHL. as seen in the KHL, his game is more offensive minded, and doesn't have the game to be a 4th liner in the NHL.

I liked Jaskin during his short stint in DC and thought he got a raw deal here; the coaches didn't like him for whatever reason. Hope he does well in the desert.

You are right, i read it wrong. $1.8 even for a 4th liner is a little high but maybe they have other things in the plans for him.
