Really want to see what Archibald does out there. As Torts would say, he's a stiff body who plays on an edge. Like to see him on a line with Kassian if he shows some umph.

Pelletier, I know next to nothing about, but he's leading the Comets in points.

    So, likely anyway:

    Sedin-Sedin-Kesler
    Higgins-Santo-Kassian
    Pelletier-Richardson-Archibald
    Sestito-Welsh-Weber

Could work, if not...meh. We've made bank on this road trip so far. Worth the risk, and we don't have much of a choice.

Sauve was just a Capspace call up (to maximize LTIR relief for Schroeder/Hansen) he was never going to play. These guys should actually play.

Would have liked to give Grenier a shot, but pretty happy to see Archibald in action.

Yep. He probably didn't even leave Utica.

I thought Pelletier looked fine in a preseason game against San Jose; others thought he was crap. Main weakness I think is he's a little slow for the NHL.

I'm happy to see Archibald get a chance. It's not do or die for him, but he's 23 and he's not likely to see many opportunities down the road if he doesn't do well this year. If he turns out to be a useful fourth liner, it'll be a great story -- undrafted, over-age junior year, echl, etc.

Interested in seeing whether Archibald can skate well enough to be effective in Torts puck pressure system.

    Pffft. Stupid Sauve.

Blows his call up to the big league and gets sent down the next day. :shakehead

Really looking forward to Archibald though. I remember that the knock on him in the past was "Ya but he's a man playing against kids". St. Louis game will probably be a write off..... hope he sticks around for a few more after.

I'd much rather have Stanton-Weber playing than Alberts-Stanton/Bourque/Orr/Pronger/Jesus

When you have 9 healthy forwards putting an Ebbett in isn't the end of the world.
