LTIR is a complicated mess;

Prior to sending him down, the Bruins would have had to clear about $800K to, say for example Drop DeBrusk and add Hanifin. After the move, it's about $120k. (rough math in my head and from memory).

Prior to today, they could add a player with an AAV of $57,500 (doesn't exist). After today, they can add a player with an AAV of $832,500.

Doesn't mean something is going to happen because they need space in the event of another injury. It could be just a waiver thing, or at this time of year, something could happen.
