So disappointed. Kid just has not reached the level we hoped. Was a game breaker these past playoffs. Maybe he should call Keith Hernandez for the weekend.
I'm a big supporter of Beau as everyone knows here. But he just looks lost on the ice lately. Not sure what it is. I really like his talent and I want him to put it all together here. Just wondering what's going on in his head. I don't see the speed and hustle lately. He's so important too with this teams lack of speed

Getting outscored by Dobson and Pelech, tied for points with Pulock.

Just puts into perspective how bad he is that he's been leapfrogged by a defensemen three years younger and a two defensive defensemen.

I've been beating this drum since last season.
He’s an goal scoring machine when compared to Barzal.

He doesn't have a high end scorers skill set. He's not a playmaker, not a shooter. Small, low hockey IQ. The only way he's scoring is some kind of defensive breakdown on the otherbteam leads to a 2 one or a breakaway. So he's not even in control of his own destiny. Look at all the goals Brock Nelson scores with his good shot. Imagine he had Beau's shooting ability. It's hard to score goals in this league without a high end shot youbhave to be anders Lee, built like Judge and Stanton of the Yankees, and have guys to stand in front of the net.

He's got some nice hands and can skate, that's about it right now.

He has been rooming with Bailey . He is being schooled on how to play 1000 games and make lotsa dough.

I wonder about him mentally. Looks to me like he gets lost in his own head.
If you need to write "have fun" on your stick that to me indicates he struggles with keeping in the right head space.
Maybe he’s having too much fun, instead of working hard?

Beau is probably a great person and i like him, but it is going to be time to move on from him sooner than later. If there are no takers for a trade for ...well, anything...just waive him and shed the salary. Pretty sure one of the kids can do no worse at this point, so bring one of them up.

3rd line numbers, but expected to play a 2nd line role. If we had a legit top-6 player that would keep him on the 3rd line, he'd probably be better thought of since he's shown well in the playoffs. Has more shots per game in the playoffs than the regular season.

To be fair, he's pretty good on the forecheck and competes in battles along the boards fairly effectively for his size. Does have speed.

Shooting percentage tells a pretty good story since the rest of his numbers are staying consistent for the most part. God only knows shot attempts that missed the net. Doesn't hit as much (half the hits the last few years than the first few seasons).

Unfortunately, this is what he is. A typical Mid 6 forward who contributes at a predictable pace and after 7 years in the NHL there is likely nothing left to grow in to.

Trade bait but how many teams will pay a salary that is average for a Mid-6er? Holmstrom looks like he could replace him at less money.

Teams will take him back in a salary exchange, they can promote his former #1 pick status, his playoff performance is/was excellent, etc. Sometimes a GM needs to sell it to ownership and the fanbase. Beau still has a bunch of marketable components in a trade.

At worst, they can argue he has more power play goals in the last three seasons than Barzal, yet gets a fraction of the pp time…

Are you asking about Beau or Barzal?
damn...let's face it. Barzals value is he's never injured and he didn't have a wife who wanted to live inna different country. Barzal is also consistent. He's never pretended he's gona score goals. In a ideal world, Isles will have enough high end talent that needs to get paid someday to the point that they look to trade Barzal. 99% of us prefer 1st line centers who score goals as well..

When I see the OT winning goal he scored tonight, I wonder why he cannot do this more. Still like him. I think we need to see more of this on a regular basis. Still scored the biggest Isles goal in game 6 against TB in recent Isles history.

Holy shit he has a pulse!!! Doesn’t hide from the fact he’s been worse than dog shit all season.

He’s just not a good 5v5 player.

He doesn't get off many shots so easily. No size. I see a good skater with no other skills. His age and draft status don't help once the game starts. I barely see him near the net. He's small....theres probably players in Bridgeport fuming he's on this team when they think they are probably better than him but he has the contract
