McLellan’s treatment of young players - or pretty much anyone 25 and under not from Canada or Germany - is the straw that got him canned.

I don’t think Sprong has that kind of value. Maybe one of the Ducks AHL defencemen.

The thought of Anaheim trading any of their top 4 (Fowler, Lindholm, Montour, Manson) is laughable because we don't have anyone to replace them. Not to mention that Fowler is currently injured. Our defence would be a train wreck if Montour, for example, was traded.

I doubt the pens get anything significant back unless the ducks think very highly of Sprong and JR might use that as leverage but his play and stats have been very underwhelming.

Pettersson is a decent bottom pairing D-man. Personally I think he's pretty much hit his ceiling. Not a huge loss.
