Game worn as in you wore them at the game? Nice!
Yes. I wore them to the game. Not by the actual players.

But as I recall my presence at the Garden did inspire the two wins during what was a pretty lean run.

Can’t recall if I shared this. The jerseys I bought from the Garden back in January. Both game worn and saw us win both times.

Why did Mitchell & Not make a split hem on the bottom of the the 94 style jersey when the real thing didn't have that!!?? Also the quality of the Rangers lettering is awful compared to what was actually used. The CCM 550 replicas were so much better quality. Shame on Mitchell & Was.

So what was the first Rangers jersey you were ever gifted, and what was the first one you ever bought with your own purse.

Christmas '85....If you recall back then, options & quality for jerseys was all over the map. Very very few people had authentics as few places sold them. Joe Dimaggio's Sporting Goods in Flushing was our local spot for hockey gear. My mom bought me an unbranded home white blank mesh replica with no numbers & a very weak ironed on "Rangers" cloth crest for the front. The week of Christmas break I had Ridley 18 vinyl name & numbers ironed on the back & sleeves. That was his rookie season. It was not pretty, but I wore the hell out of it to MSG & playing tons of pick up roller hockey. Ridley was traded about a year later...LOL.

First one I bought with my own cash. 4 years later....freshman year of college. A cheap CCM airknit white replica, but I paid $50 to have the authentic name & numbers put on it. I chose Turcotte 8. I think a buddy of mine still has it. I gave it to him when I scored my '94 Leetch that I posted earlier in the thread.

First one I bought was a replica white (home at the time) Barnaby jersey.
First gifted jersey was an authentic away blue Holik, which for some reason has the 01-02 7th anniversary patch on it, despite Holik not turning up until the seaon after.

This was back when e-commerce was still in its infancy and getting legit jerseys to Australia was a huge pain in the arse

First one I was ever gifted:

A 1997 Alexander Karpovtsev white Starter jersey. I still have it to this day.

First one I bought:

2012 Ryan McDonagh Winter Classic jersey. It was a lot harder to get proper jerseys prior to the HD era, as I call it. I moved back from South Africa to the Netherlands in 2011, and ordered a WC jersey through Sportsk.com

It's sad to hear they are going out of business.

I was not a devoted hockey fan until my early twenties despite my family always being Rangers die hards and I'm not a jersey nut like most of you so my first gifted was by my wife in 2015. Rick Nash home replica. My first purchases were the two I bought here from MikeinHouston and Loki. WC 2018 Fanatics blank and Adam Fox home authentic.

Funny that you mention Joe Dimaggios in Flushing! We used to go there all the time as well for our sporting goods needs. We always liked it better than Herman's. We had 3 Rangers jerseys done up with heat pressed vinyl because we couldn't afford tackle twill stitching back then. Was a great store with very friendly staff.

My first jersey I bought was an authentic CCM Luc Robitaille home from Cosby's in 1996. It was one size too big b/c they didn't have my size but I didn't care lol. Sadly he was traded not too long after. I've never been gifted a jersey b/c I'm so picky so everyone knows better lol.

All but 1 of my jerseys i purchased myself. First jersey purchase was a ccm replica white liberty. I did not actually wear it that much because the fit was trash, it was too short so it felt like it fit like a girls short cut t shirt. I ended up picking up a ccm replica white rangers away blank. That jersey is the one far and away that i have worn the most. It is a bit beat up but it still fits. I might even send the blank to get customized with messier on the back.

I recently aquired a white liberty that will get customized with leetch on the back.

My only gifted jersey was last season, parents asked me what i wanted for xmas so i said a rangers hockey fights cancer with either panarin, lindgren, or zibanejad on the back and to surprise me. I got a lindgren

Anyone else still waiting on a SS jersey from MSG Shop? Ordered on 2/28 when I saw some bigger sizes back in stock.

Didn't know where else to share, thought this might be a good place. Combined another hobby of mine in sneakers with hockey/jerseys and customized a pair of Jordans recently. My first go at it so worked on a used pair, but really happy with the outcome. May have to paint the jordan logo red or white too.

Can't tell if the man on the left has a Fanatics version of the 2024 Stadium Series or a DHgate counterfeit. If it's a Fanatics version, can't believe how bad it looks compared to the two on the right.
