GDT: All Star Skills Competition - 7PM EST - a bunch of places

The US government could legit use this skills competition to waterboard people for info. Diehards don't even like this shit anymore let alone casuals (main target audience) lol

The skills used to be good. It was a tightly run event that went from event to event and was under 2 hours. They keep adding events that don’t work, that no one knows the rules, and just don’t work overall.

Just keep it to:
-fastest skater
-accuracy shooting
-hardest shot
-puck control event
-a goalie skill event
-and a team event

Get rid of these personality (they have none) and pretaped segment.

If they wanted to add an event, I would add a FIGHTING event just to change things up.

But that's all.

This is just way too choppy. It should be two hours. Fastest Skater, Accuracy, Hardest Shot, and a Breakaway relay. In and out. Mic up the players, less "analysis", and just get in and get it done. Nobody gives a f*** about Adam Fox knocking over a surfboard or Robertson shooting a puck on a golf course. It's stupid.

Some of them can hang in the NHL skill wise and I've always said that

But the problem is that due to the massive size difference, most of them would get killed with body contact with the men. She probably only weighs about 140 pounds. I can't imagine her getting trucked by one of these 230 pounders.

That's why I said it would be great to have a women's league (WNHL). I'm sure there are many College Women who would love to be able to go Pro but there is no league to go Pro in.

Yes there is, the Riveters are a pro team, they played at the Rock iirc but now play at that silly mall near Metlife Stadium.

There are a couple pro leagues, but the pay is stupid low.

I remember something like 5 years ago that the average salary was like $26k a year, which is insane to play a sport professionally.

Yeah, I don't think having them in the NHL would be smart but their skill alone should be enough to attract a viewership. I just think it blows that they have to wait 4 years for the olympics in most cases to show off what they can do and it comes down to the US and Canada women most times in the gold medal game.
