To me thats more of a hockey culture thing. Your player gets hurt (which Barkov did, he missed some games) whether its dirty or not, players respond. To me the bigger problem was that Nico and our team took it just like that. Our team didnt really have any response to the tkachuks of the world.

Its dumb, but I bet that would happen with many other teams. Having your star player get hurt leaves kind of bad blood between the two teams and we had a second game pretty soon after.

If anything in hindsight I would say its good that the Nico targeting happened. I hope Fitz tries to bolster up the team without losing its identity. Make us tougher to play against come playoff time.

What response would you expect short of taking a hockey stick and swinging it at Tkachuk's stupid face for pulling that sh*t?

There is no Policing in the NHL anymore.
