They post like thousand rumours per day so no

honestly im pretty sure there are at least 1000 legit rumors per day this time of year

that compound exponital math adds up pretty damn quickly

30 discusions per gm... if he called the other 30 gms and discussed a single trade
30 x 30 =900

now if you make 5 discussion per call... but only call 10 gms… thats 50 x 30 which is 1500 legit rumors

honestly... I bet if there was some insider who had every single phone bugged... that there would be at least 1000 legit rumors each day

Ya he is a real sniper alright!
Funny you omitted the fact that his shooting percentage was significantly better the 3 previous seasons before that.

This season, he has 3 less goals than Palmieri does on even strength.

Point is, he's been struggling, which means we'd be buying low (on a relatively younger player) that has had previous success. On a better team (like ours) with a lesser role, he could be a pretty decent asset. Not saying he is the definitive answer, but when it comes down to making a deal for the betterment of our team, he's an improvement from what we have, and potentially not far off from the other option.

Outside of Kreider, I'd personally take Trocheck over Palmieri, especially if the price happens to be cheaper.

Order of targets has changed (not my order)

Kreider
Palmieri
Saad
Kase
could revisit with San Jose (not putting a name to this so as I don't get hounded by Shark fans)

I'm sure there are others. But those are legit targets.
How far did you get in painting?

Looking at that list you have to expect them to be able to land one of them, top3 bring easy top 6 additions to this team.

Kase should be a secondary add

No quality insider post like they day after day throughout the season.

Probably because we are talking about him as a player today not 3 years ago...
And everyone knows players shooting percentages stay the same when they switch teams. But hey if you think he's not good, that's fine. Palmieri is statistically on his best season % wise. Maybe he'd keep that up if he came here. Maybe he wouldn't.

If Palmieri's price is too high, it's always nice to know there are other options. Bruins did well buying low on a few guys last season... didn't they?

Dom, any sense of how they make the cap work? Is Backes being included in most of these discussions to make the cap work, or are we looking at guys with more value like Heinen & Moore?

To me Kase is either last option or replacement/depth option for someone going out.

Seeing the SJ option that low makes me think it’s a long shot so they aren’t actively working it.

If they were gonna lose out on Kreider, Palmieri and Saad I'd hope to see their fallbacks be names like Grandlund, Craig Smith, Rakell, Silfverberg, etc.

but who knows, maybe Nashville's not selling and Anaheim's not selling those guys.
