What a lame way to get 700.
What. It was a great shot.

Ovechkin got a massive standing O from NJ fans. The debt has been repaid in full. They wouldn't pull their goalie on the last game of the 2017-2018 season against the Caps when down by 1 to keep him at 49 goals and thus denying him a 50 goal season for the record books, hence all the bad karma since. Hopefully for them with this the karma debt has been repaid.

Gordie Howe | 1,493 |
Most exciting? Probably Kane. Not saying O isn't really great but he is something of a one trick pony, which by definition makes him less exciting to watch.
I don’t think he’s got anything to do with CBJYou're talking to a Blue Jackets homer who is offended by anything a Metro team does
I would expected much less from Pens crowd.I wouldn't have expected anything less from any of the other 30 fanbases

Ovi was pressing like crazy. This was the game. Samsonov in the net, bad Devils team, etc. Perfect set up. And if he scores tomorrow - cherry on the top.On the rod against a bad devils team. Tomorrow was lining up- NBC, nat televised, vs Pittsburgh, first place in Metro, against Ovy’s eternal rival.
Should have been like when he got point #1000 at home vis PIT vs on the road against the Worst East team not named DET
Congrats to Ovechkin - a huge milestone. Here's a list of many games it's taken each player to score 700 goals:
That's not a typo for Gretzky. He really was that fast (much higher scoring era though).[TBODY] [/TBODY]

Standing ovation by the Devils fans very classy! Congrats!
They're lucky as hell too, so many caps fans would have paid a ton to be there for it and they get to witness history for an afternoon game. If he didn't score I'd have probably dropped half a grand on Pittsburgh tickets tomorrow just to be near the front row for it potentially happening.
Wow. You’ve got pretty high standards there. I can only imagine how you would feel had it been an empty netter. On the rod against a bad devils team. Tomorrow was lining up- NBC, nat televised, vs Pittsburgh, first place in Metro, against Ovy’s eternal rival.
