I'm concerned we'll pull a boston and convert him to wing. He needs to play centre.

He will *****, He will elevate him self like he always does..

He actually won quite a few draws in the post season.. He was an AWFUL draw man during the season.. He had NO weight or toughness behind him.. The reason he did so well dodging hits and all this season is because NO one is going to hit an 18 year old super star regularly.. and he has the quickness to elude hits..

Was funny seeing him get crushed a few times..

Put on that weight galchy.. Your going to be good..

Someone needs to put together a rookie highlight package.

Pretty sure Eller will move to W before DD due to him playing it in the NHL a lot.

If Eller ever moves to center he won't be the same player and we wouldn't be utilizing his strengths at the wing position. Eller is a natural center and I think MB and MT are aware of that.

Eller is done playing wing. Alex can play anywhere right now. I'd rather he stays with Eller because they work well. That line altogether should get tougher minutes.

Yea Eller established himself as an upcoming two way top 6 center this year, while Galchenyuk clearly was better on the wing where didn't have the same defensive responsibilities.

I think next year we the centerman as so:

Plekanec (two way #1)
Eller (two way #2)
Desharnais (offensive #3)
White/Dumont (gritty #4)

Then plug in the wings around them, including:

Ryder
Gionta
Galchenyuk
Pacioretty
Gallagher
Bourque
Prust
Moen

I'd have it look like this:

Ryder-Plekanec-Gionta (veteran top 6)
Glachenyuk-Eller-Gallagher (emerging top 6)
Pacioretty-Desharnais-Bourque (offensive third line)
Moen-White/Dumont-Prust

Don't like this one bit. Sure here and there during a game but that's it.

IMO, they will both center a line next season. But, IF one of them slumps, then Gally comes back on Eller's wing.

Injured last year... so he responds this year by;

Finishing 4th on his OHL team in scoring DESPITE only playing half the games.
Wins a gold medal at the World Juniors.
Makes an NHL team.
Sticks with an NHL team.
Makes the NHL playoffs.
Wins a bronze medal at the World Championships.

Bad year for Galchenyuk. :sarcasm:

Great season for Chucky!!

As far as center/wing - he needs to get better at taking faceoffs. I'm sure he will. I'd start him on the wing next season while taking extra draws every day at practice. He'll get opportunities to play center as the season goes on.

One goal and two assists in five games. Impressive for his first run.
