If he can develop into a 50+ point centerman who is a quality 2 way guy I'd be quite happy.

Anything over that and we're looking at a true #1 center in the NHL.

I did, and I will continue to do so until he proves me otherwise. His trajectory has fallen, just like Andrei's did. Andrei's the only other top skater pick we've had in modern times so naturally I'll compare the two, especially when they've both been inconsistent players early in their careers.

This is the only point that I take exception to. Kostitsyn played on the top line with Kovalev.

Galchenyuk is riding 2nd line behind Pacioretty. Whom developed slower and is now one of the best LW in the game. How do you expect Galchenyuk to shine behind Pacioretty.

Out of any name (your tavares, Toews, Duchene etc etc. ) they all played on terrible teams and were given the prime scoring chances and offensive opportunities from the hop.

Big differences.

Galchenyuk hasn't greatly improved his point per season rate which I agree with you, but give him credit for becoming a greater goal scorer with his first 20 goal year.
