I don't think that has anything to do with it. He likely wants some stability. He's played in 4 cities in 4 years and 6 cities in 7 years since turning pro.

Yep.. At the end of the day Chiasson is not a top 6 player. Which makes it sad for me to say the Oilers should still keep him. At least he's an NHLer. Same can't be said for most wingers on the team.

If he can have 1 run like he had earlier in the season every year, then it's worth it to pay him 2M or something. I don't think the Oilers are forced to offer much more, no one should want Chiasson at 3M per.
