Ditto. First time in almost 40yrs of watching hockey. Really wish Quebec had gotten a team instead of Vegas, at least then I could have supported a local team.

I’m really enjoying the positive effects that the language policy is having on our team. It’s much more effective than the “get the best guy”BS. Gerard Gallant who needs a bum like that? We had a toe nail flicking better person maker! And we got to add a high school dropout GM. Smart. He’s proven that he can build an ultra successful team out of character. Even though he lacked the character to finish his grade 10. [MOD]

You're cleaning up on Sportsbook. You must know things. I'd have to agree with you on that basis alone!

Would need about 24 wins to get to 94 points, there are 31 games left, do the math. Lol 24-7

And 94 would probably not be enough.

I wonder where you got those 94 points? Not that I'm arguing in favor of the Habs making the playoffs, cuz at this point they'd need a miracle.

Anyway.. the 8th seed (whichever team is there at any given moment) has not moved up its win differential in the last few weeks. It's still at +5. It moved up to +6 for a short moment, but right now, it's the same as it was 3 weeks ago. That's +5 over 51 games.. and you think that the 8th seed is gonna be up to +12 by the end of the season? That would necessitate to go +7 in 31 games.. while only being able to go up to +5 in 51 games, it makes no sense. In all likelyhood, if we look at the trends, the 8th seed might go up by +4, maybe +3 or +5. Right now, statistically, the highest probability is 91 points.

Thing is though, Habs have gone from -2 a month ago to now -5. So no matter if it's 20 wins or 24, they're not gonna make it, I agree.

At least we got to see Carr play, and try to create some offense, as opposed to whatever Logan Shaw and some other players do out there.

This was so funny, I laughed. Toe nail flicking better person maker. Ha ha ha.

Canucks with the win last night against the Blackhawks. Vancouver now sits 2 points up on Habs. Both teams have played the same amount of games.

Oilers lost in OT to the Avs. They were down 3-1 and tied the game with 30 seconds left. So they fought back to earn the loser point. They now sit 2 points up on Habs with 1 game in hand. To make it even better, Montoya got the start and played the entire game. With him having played at least 30 minutes, it counts among games played in the condition of the trade. He now has 4 games of 30+ minutes left to play in order for the 5th to become a 4th. It would have been 3 games left if Oilers didn't troll Habs by putting him in with 28 minutes left in the game last time.

TEAM---------------------GP---------PTS
Panthers------------------49-----------48
Red Wings----------------49-----------48
Oilers----------------------50----------48
Canucks-------------------51-----------48
Habs-----------------------51-----------46
Senators-------------------49----------41

Habs now at 0.3% chance of making the playoffs.

If the standings remain as is, the Habs can't select lower than 7th overall.

At least it was a good night for the tank. I had the game on my ipad with no sound (as I watched other things on TV) and it still almost put me to sleep...

Somebody local would need to confirm, but I believe the visiting teams practice at the Bell Centre. They should be coming in and out at the St. Antoine exit and depending on travel, they may practice both the day before the game and in the morning.

Maybe somebody knows the typical hotels players stay at as I have no idea... there are quite a few near the arena.
