I wonder where you got those 94 points? Not that I'm arguing in favor of the Habs making the playoffs, cuz at this point they'd need a miracle.

Anyway.. the 8th seed (whichever team is there at any given moment) has not moved up its win differential in the last few weeks. It's still at +5. It moved up to +6 for a short moment, but right now, it's the same as it was 3 weeks ago. That's +5 over 51 games.. and you think that the 8th seed is gonna be up to +12 by the end of the season? That would necessitate to go +7 in 31 games.. while only being able to go up to +5 in 51 games, it makes no sense. In all likelyhood, if we look at the trends, the 8th seed might go up by +4, maybe +3 or +5. Right now, statistically, the highest probability is 91 points.

Thing is though, Habs have gone from -2 a month ago to now -5. So no matter if it's 20 wins or 24, they're not gonna make it, I agree.

91 pts 94 pts, potato pahtato. OK, sure 91, so they have to go 22-9.. LOL

PS I just used last years cut, Preds got in with 94 in the West, the East cut was 95. Your calculations seems to be more precise but we're not exactly miles away.

i think every single one of the Canes center men have been aquired or drafted within the time MB has been with us.....are you learning anything from this MB?

Their whole D, aside from Van Riemsdyk, was drafted.

Fleury, 7th overall 2014
Faulk, 37th overall, 2010
Hanifin, 5th overall, 2015
Pesce, 66th overall, 2013
Slavin, 120th overall, 2012

THAT's building through the draft

Habs just draft guys and then trade them for the flavor of the month the next year

same for the Preds. Ducks added Henrique and Kesler, and then there's a decent list of C who were traded during MB tenure...

Ducks have also drafted basically their entire dcore, traded a guy they drafted for a center, and even had a top 4 d prospect sniped by the expansion draft.

Bergevin sucks soooooooo much.

there's also Stepan and Brassard who would be our best C right now... same for Eric Staal

So a kid is in front of the judge because his parents are going through a divorce. The judge asks the kid "Do you want to go live with your mom?" The kid answers "No, because she beats me." The judge then asks "Do you want to go live with your dad?" The kid answers again "No, because he beats me, too." The judge then asks "Then who do you want to live with?" The kid replies "With the Canadiens because they don't beat anyone."

lol Sean Starr is stealing my stats from the GDT for his postgame show on TSN690.

Steals the shutouts stats and then the 1 goal or less stat that I posted on the last page. wtf bra
You should invent some stats and verify if Starr or any other member of the media steals your stats :)

I don't know if anyone posted it before me but... the Habs were 21% on faceoffs tonight

But but but faceoff wins don't matter!!

At least that's what all the Drouin to Centre/MB supporters said when MB tried to put a square peg into a round hole. Hell they even had "stats" to back it up.

Our best 5 D drafted since 2010 is:

Sergachev
Mete
Juulsen
Beaulieu
Nygren (perhaps lost to mis-management) or Lernout

Carolina's is more solid and used up better draft picks to get. But Sergachev and Mete are real talents. Hopefully Juulsen will be too.

The point is that they're playing and living with the mistakes the kids might have. Meanwhile we are playing scrubs like Benn, Schlemko and Morrow
