If you north americans wonder how Kiviranta got his name it was because he was a childhood friend of Rantanen and his mother once offered him a Kiwi.

I think the lesson the NHL can learn from the performance by Tampa in this game and the Isles in game 1 last series is don’t have one day between series ever

Dallas had no problem beating Colorado game 1 after only 1 day rest while Colorado had two days.

Tampa needs to play 12-6, roll 4 lines, and they won't be tired. Instead, they roll 11-7 and never play their 10th and 11th forwards. Doesn't work for the long grind of the playoffs.

Dallas looks rested, Tampa looks gassed.
This was expected after the Isles game but it's surprising how ready Dallas was in this. Tampa should have had the upper hand in the 1st.

Either way Tampa is gonna be much better in the next games for sure.

Kiviranta needs urgently improve his Playoffs G/60 to really live up the legend of him. Few more safety-goals would do good for that aim, and likely help in overcoming the Lightning.

Yeah, I honestly never understand playing Luke f***ing Schenn and not dressing a 12th forward. Maybe this changes with Stamkos coming back.

Pretty bad game so far tbh. What I feared....a tired Tampa team mixed with Dallas' awful style of stifling hockey where they love to sit back and counter.

Maroon shoots it right where the linesman is as well, what a guy. Not sure why these plugs like Maroon, Reaves are still in the league.

Two more points and Heiskanen has 4th highest point total for defenceman in NHL history and he isn't even playing 1PP. Absolutely insane run
