Lol at HF crash if Toews got 50 in 50.
Always love watching the list get smaller and smaller as the year goes on.
I wonder how will be the last player on the list? Anyone know from last year when the last player dropped off?
So early November? It will be interesting to see if any of the guys on this year's list can stay in contention for that long.My guess is Kucherov. He started out with 13 in 13, so would have fallen off after not scoring on November 2nd.
Two best goalscorers of an era and arguably the best goalscorer ever falling 20% from the target in their absolute best stretch does make it sound quite unattainable.

I still remember stamkos' second year in the league he was at 19 in 19. Even media was buying in. Was awesome to watch.
50 in 50 goes by team games played, not players games playedthe full list for those wondering

He had 40 as a rookie and projected to 45 if he were healthy for a full 82 games last season. Going up to 60 is quite a jump up from that. 50 goals would already exceed expectations.Matthews will get 60+. Not sure if he can get 50/50 though. Extremely tough feat (not impossible)
No it wouldn't. Matthews has 50 goals in his last 79 regular season games. Anything less than 50 this year would be a letdown...He had 40 as a rookie and projected to 45 if he were healthy for a full 82 games last season. Its more fun to start this early, if we wait till game 15-20 there will be a cpl players on the list.Huh, a Leafs fan starting a 50 in 50 thread the day after Matthews scores 2 goals. Didn't see that coming....
Anyone making any projections this early in the season is foolish.
Let's revisit this after game 30.
Lol jeez don’t set unrealistic expectations or anything. No it wouldn't. Matthews has 50 goals in his last 79 regular season games. Anything less than 50 this year would be a letdown...
