I don't know ... point stands either way which is Marner drives the play on TOR. JT benefited from Marner, not the other way around. My opinion of course.

Marner was largely invisible last night, which is rare for him, he had nothing to do with Matty's goal.

Marner and JT benefit from each other.

Since Ovechkin entered the league, he has been responsible for 35% of all 50 goal seasons by an individual player (7 out of 20).

Hoping he can lead the league once more. 8 seasons of 50+ goals and 8 Richards for the Great 8 has a nice symmetry to it.

50+ goal seasons since 2005:

If Ovechkin keeps up his goal pace, he should get around 22-23 more goals this season, that includes that one game suspension. That's like 59-60 goals.

I think he ends up with 53 goals. Which will be incredible.

BUT, I PRAY he puts this weird funk that WASH is in on his back, which he is trying to do you can see, and score another two hatty's, and keep scoring 1-2 goals every other game and hit 60.

The thing I notice different about him this year, which really started last year, is he seems to be playing more efficiently. He takes very specific opportunities. He is scoring off of very little shots on goal, for him. There are three guys who have more shots than him this season.

Landeskog will probably finish in the low 40s. I have MacKinnon going crazy the second half and potting 50 and being in the Ross conversation (not Rocket bc Ovi exists) though. They’ll need him to take over every game if they want to make playoffs.

I think there will be 4 or 5 50 goal scorers this year actually.

Gaudreau has an outside chance at 50. On pace for 47 right now. He probably won’t hit it, but he’s shooting a lot more and getting in the greasy areas lately.

Has 23 goals in his last 31 games after scoring just 6 in his first 20 games, so he’s trending way up. Who would’ve thought a player using an intermediate stick would be tied for top 5 in goals.

Here is hoping that JT hits it!

It's weird to me that he's never hit 40 goals or 90 points before. He's a better player than his stats suggest, when looking back on them. Bad wingers I guess.

Anyways - most people like JT so it would be cool if he hit 50 for sure.

I think Laine can still go on a tear and score 45 maybe even 50 goals. His slump can't last forever.

Wish Ovie wasn't taking a game off. A 60 goal year would look ridiculous at this point in his career. According to a lot of hf posters (see Crosby fan boys and pens fans) circa 2011 the lazy fatty would be washed out of the league by now.
do you have proof of penguins fans claiming this or are you just gonna lie because you don't like the penguins?

Obviously a different type of player than Johnny Hockey but Brett Hull's sticks were always 62 flex. He used to be pretty good at filling the net.

God I’m 31.75 age I hope my recovery rate doesn’t drop that much by 33.5

I got bad news for you... I went pretty hard for my 32 last summer... Geez... No joke, 2 days of hating life and ughhh... I did have a blast, dont remember everything but yea...

G oOvie. 60 isnt out of reach. 23 in 31 looks like his normal pace.
