Well take what it is now and imagine it ten times worse. Besides the Crosby and Ovie stuff you had the insane Vancouver fans planning parades and people trolling the sedins and lou to the point where nicknames for players were forbidden. Montreal and Boston and Vancouver in a weird three way hate triangle. Cooke taking runs at players seemingly every night. Also twitter and Reddit weren't as big so there was way more traffic.
And classless Subans.. but nothing tops Giroux adjusted stats..

I think Laine can still go on a tear and score 45 maybe even 50 goals. His slump can't last forever.

He really needs to pick it up if he wants to hit 50 this season. 4 goals in his last 26 games after tonight.

Needs 25 in his last 32 games which is a 64 goal pace from here on out in order to hit 50.

Last year he had a stretch of 29 games where he scored 25 goals. Also this year after his first 24 games he had 21 goals. Laine did this in the past and i wouldn't count him out.

It's weird to me that he's never hit 40 goals or 90 points before. He's a better player than his stats suggest, when looking back on them. Bad wingers I guess.

Anyways - most people like JT so it would be cool if he hit 50 for sure.
Maybe in Toronto, but his "woo me tour" made some enemies. Witness the boos at the ASG, not many Isles fans there.
The bad wingers comment is a joke, right?

I feel good about Skinner getting to 50 but think Tavares finishes at 47-49, but maybe just a feeling.

He need 23 goals in his last 31 games to hit 60. Not impossible for Ovechkin but still very hard to do.

He already had a 10 game slump with 1 goal so hoping law of averages has him go on another hot streak like 10 in 6 he had. Nearing 50 last year he managed 4 in his last 3 so I think IF he breaks 50 early enough he might try for it. Would join Gretz, Mario, Bossy, Esposito, Bure, Brett Hull and Kurri as the 8th guy with multiple 60s. And frankly probably his last legitimate shot at it.

This year just seems different for him. Insane how a guy can score 21 goals in his first 24 games and only 4 goals in 27 games after that.

25 goals in 31 games to hit 50 seems like a tall mountain to climb now for him.

Love seeing Landeskog up there, clearing his previous career high by game 50. It’s an anomaly of a season for him, but we can still enjoy it while it’s happening.

Laine had 3 goals in first 12, 18 in next 12, 4 in last 27. Last year he had 3 in last 13 games. Looks like his goals are coming in crazy spikes but on average he is 40 goal scorer. To transition to 50 goal scorer he need some consistency in between those spikes.

Ovechkin in 2015-16:
40 goals after 58 games and 10 goals in the last 21 games.

This season:
40 goals after 58 games and 23 games left.
