Flames might want to take a break from trading picks for awhile. That one is more of a finishing touch type move when they should be focused on strengthening the foundation.

Tampa one isn't completely horrible but Patches isn't the player we need.

A 1st to ditch Callahan's cap, and KK+Joseph for a signed 5 x 30 goal scorer, value actually leans towards the Lightning.

F-no from Calgary.

We have no room for Pacioretty. We have a log jam of goalie prospects in our system. Several are better than Lindgren, including Gillies.

We do not have any reason to dump cap. We are definitely not giving up our 2020 1st and/or Bennett.

Not only does this not fit the needs of Calgary in any way whatsoever, but it's a moot point as you are not getting a sign and trade on Pacioretty. If the Flames do decide they have a need for Pacioretty, they sign him for free next off season.

Horrible horrible proposal OP.

Habs lose this deal.

:stars
- Erik Karlsson

:sens
- Max Pacioretty (signed)
- Mattias Janmark

Spezza doesn't want to go to Canada, Ottawa gets raked over the coals for this one.

- Sam Bennett
- 2020 1st round pick
- Jon Gillies

Don't think either team wants to do this, but value is right.

:habs
- Andrew MacDonald
- Travis Sanheim

:flyers
- Max Pacioretty (signed)
- Victor Mete

Flyers fans won't agree to this despite getting way more value. Sanheim is supposed to be a top pair guy in the future so they're going to value him at his projected value not his current value. Don't think Habs walk out of this the winners unless Sanheim turns into that #2 guy, so kind of a wash.

Habs would probably want Johnson instead of Callahan, or Cal Foote over Koekkoek.

None of those packages are really worth a signed Pacioretty.

how in the world does Beauvillier + our 1st round pick = Pacioretty

Thing is many opposing fans don’t realize that Beauvillier scored most of his goals the second half of the year. He already has 30 goal potential.

No. The Stars lose 2/3rds of their 2nd line with Janmark and Spezza going and they've already got shit forward depth.

you are not getting a sign and trade on Pacioretty

You kind of were alright until you said that

If the Flames do decide they have a need for Pacioretty, they sign him for free next off season.

Ah, herein lies the issue. You're deluded enough into thinking that if they Flames DECIDE they want Max, they'll be the only team so they can just wait until the off-season.

Weird how teams are scrapping it out for Erik Karlsson and there's going to be massive pieces going back (rightfully so) but for a 30+ goal scorer teams will just "wait it out" and "get him for free"

You're an idiot.

Thanks for your balanced criticism. We don't often see this on this trade board, where unproven prospects always have more value than established star players.

No way Patches is worth Beauvillier let alone with our first included, lol

Patches, a career 30+ goal scorer, who has a 37 and 39 goal season under his belt since the lockout shortened season ---- is worth less than a 3rd line C who has had 24 and 36 POINT seasons?

You're kidding, right?
