I think it’s safe to say that this would be the most disappointing loss this season. Especially with where we’re at. After a 5-2-0 run against nothing but playoff teams and 4-2-0 of it coming on the road.

yep…this is the fear. for the most part, we show up to play the tough games…but the jury is still out on how we play against lesser ones. the reward for beating the penguins is exactly the same as the reward for beating the hurricanes…2 points.

that would be interesting, though. the number of points you get for winning a game is relative to the opponent’s place in the standings? beating a team with the same number or less points than you have is 2 points. if you beat a team that has 5 more points than you, you plug that into some formula and get 2.367 points. or something like that. man that’s a stupid idea, but fun to think about

I’m not gonna go DD here, but this does have trap game written all over it.

We really should be able to run them out of the building though. Coach “My family and I kicked the bottled water habit” is only pretending that they have a playoff chance. I think because he knows he’s on his way out, and probably wants to make an impression in case he isn’t or for his next job.

was mueller playing on his off side last game? don't get me wrong, he looked great overall, but he had a few fumbles with the puck (specifically when he was receiving east-west passes. he just looked a bit awkward. could've been rust i suppose.
