Ennis had several nice plays on that sequence, but the second unit didn't get anything going.

Ennis also had a nice play in the defensive zone near the end...he started the game off slow but really picked it up as the game went along.

Really liked the forwards commitment in the defensive zone tonight. D got lots of help.

Effort is the difference between this team being a bad team and a pee-wee team. We're still going to need great goaltending to win games because effort can only do so much when the talent isn't there.

But effort makes it sooo much more watchable.

Since he and Zadorov became top-four staples, this team's been much, much better. Nice to see some of the young pieces starting to take form.

Imagine if Pysyk was up taking away minutes from Mess et al. too. The kids are definitely showing glimpses of a bright future.

Our transition game has been so much better since Zadorov and Ristolainen replaced Benoit and Meszaros.

Zads makes some 19 year old mistakes but for the most part has been good, Risto looks like a future #1 elite player.

Careful now. Myers looked that way too a few years ago. Which was fine. But as soon as Risto gets paid anywhere over 2 mil per, he's expected to be a 40+ pt. all situations never make mistakes or he sucks #1 elite Dman.
