In 2 days I am driving to Lac-Mégantic for the eclipse - 11 years ago NBC sent me there to work a horrific news story. I want to see how the town has recovered.

We're supposed to be at about 95% totality here. It was total in 2017. Hard to believe it was already that long ago.

One of my coworkers gave me a pair of glasses.

All I know is that I have people hounding me to see if there will be early dismissal from school and/or baseball practice.

It’s making my life a living hell.

A friend of mine lives in Florida and was going to drive to Texas for it, but the weather forecast isn't looking good there so they decided to drive to Vermont for it instead. That's dedication I guess lol

I live in the Totality area and it's likely going to be cloudy, with some rain chances. A lot of the communities in the area have massive events planned and the weather is not cooperating. Many businesses are closed, schools, gov't offices because, you know, a few minutes of night in the middle of the day is unworkable

I am going disc golfing with a friend and we've got our glow-in-the dark discs ready.

If you can spend $12 for a year this takes care of it.

Where we live, it will be 99% and I have no clue if that 1% is really significant but I'm not going to where is is 100%. It is going to be nuts in the Niagara area.

Speaking of nuts. Is the Sundowner still around?

Missed marketing opportunity if they didn’t sponsor the event!!

Where I am in Ontario its supposed to be sunny so I hope to get some pics. If it works out I’ll post them. If it doesn’t I’ll just drink beer and watch YouTube videos of the eclipse! LOL!!!

I've got my glasses. My nephew's school said the parents can dismiss their children at 12pm so they can go home and watch the eclipse. Nephew is excited.

I'm ready. Not expecting to see much but, it's a cool experience
