Kraft can't resist. The Raiders are paying McDaniels. And once McDaniels is announced the narrative will then focus on how he got the best out of Mac Jones.

🤮
I would actually like McDaniels back. He's an elite oc that won't get another head coaching job in the nfl so unless a college is willing to give him millions, you'll have stability on the offensive side of the ball for years.

Until Mac Jones is traded or they draft a qb at 3, the Kraft's wanting McDaniels back because they want to try and save their guy is a scary thought.

ROCKPORT, Mass. —
Phil Bissell, the original creator of the New England Patriots "Pat Patriot" logo has died at the age of 97, the team announced Thursday.

The Worcester, Massachusetts, native was just shy of his 98th birthday, according to a book he published in 2014.

Bissell was a longtime Boston Globe cartoonist, who also drew greats like Bobby Orr, Ted Williams, Alan Shepard and Winston Churchill.

Bill prolly starting to figure out that he can’t take his kids / his lax bros and his front office stiffs ( who have brought in no talent in the last 6 years) to a soft landing spot. Great coach. Horrible Football operations lead. Guys fastball is slower then a Bill Lee eephus pitch.

His record as an OC without Brady is average at best.

macd and belli have a lot in conman. Brady behind center and their numbers are thru the ceiling. Brady leaves and there numbers are on the toilet. No doubt both good coaches but they were just passengers on Brady’s train!

Is Caley next in line to be OC in LA?
I’m watching Eatly Edition and Curran & Breer think he probably stays in LA - he loves it and McAvay has him in the ‘club’ which is feeling important and every day they love going to stadium

Callahan just said McDaniels is best guy for job

His record as an OC without Brady is average at best.
Look at what he's worked with as an oc without Brady.

2008 - Matt Cassel as qb with really good weapons. 7th best scoring offense in the league

Rams 2011 - Sam Bradford as qb with Brandon Lloyd as WR1 and Brandon Gibson WR2. Their tight ends that year were Stephen Spach and Billy Bajema. Who?

2020 - Cam Newton who couldn't throw the ball after week 2, Jakobi Meyers as WR1 and Damiere Byrd as WR2, with the worst tight end room in the league.

2021 - Mac Jones as qb, Jakobi Meyers WR1, Kendrick Bourne WR2 and Hunter Henry as the main tight end. 6th highest scoring offense in the league.

You give him trash like Brandon Gibson, Billy Bajema, Damiere Byrd and Ryan Izzo to work with, you'll get a trash offense. You give him nfl talent, doesn't even have to be great but nfl talent that deserves to be on the field and he's shown as an oc he can cook up an offense. Bill O'Brien is a competent oc and he couldn't get the offense close to what McDaniels had it running at.

McDaniels flaming out as a head coach for a second time has made people judge him negatively as an oc. There's something personality wise that doesn't fit to being an nfl head coach but he wouldn't be the head coach here. If Mayo wants him he's one of the best candidates and maybe the best considering he won't be gone in a year if he does a good job like other coordinators.

Despite having a succession plan , they seem to not have much of a plan..

It’s very troubling. No GM and every coordinator candidate would be a first time coordinator. So first year coaches for HC, DC and OC and no GM.

Then the news they don’t plan to sign Onwenu.

Very concerned that Kraft is once again being cheap
