Expanding on the above, the Bruins overperformed their Pythagorean expectation by 13 points last year - they were legitimately great but beyond that found ways to pull out wins they shouldn't have.

But given the changes to the roster, for the sake of the argument, let's say they score 40 fewer goals and give up 40 more goals next year. 265^2/(265^2)+(217^2) = .59861, multiply by 164 and you're still projected at 98 points.
