They can re-unite Forbort with DoughtyLA also needs d-men. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see a deal, likely minor, between Boston and LA that involves a Bs d-man.

He’s not especially physical (or impactful) yet, no. But he is still finding his way in the league.I haven’t watched much of Byfield but was just looking at his DB… I didn’t know he was 6’5”. Is he physical? He hasn’t shown a ton of offense yet but size and age have me intrigued.
I just have a feeling Byfield won't live up to the hype.Ullmark+ for Danault or Swayman + Lysell for Byfield
It sounds like he’s farther along in development than Turcotte. I would think they’d rather keep Byfield and trade Turcotte.
You at least have defense with Danault. Sway and Lysell is...interesting.I would rather have Charlie Coyle be our #1C than Danault.
Sway and Lysell for Byfield is interesting. Painful, but interesting.
I agree, Turcotte is too risky and because of that they probably wouldn’t get as much for him so who knows.Yeah I mean they have a lot of centers so they can afford to slow roll Turcotte.
He seems likely to bust, so we probably shouldn’t trade assets for him
Mantha is not.Garland cough cough wish he was taller cough cough
Is Mantha a net front presence?
It's not "anti-local kid," though there are such a thing as local yokels. Galand is not that good. Hanafin isn't bad, but runs very hot and cold.Mantha is not.
The Bruins should grab Hanifin and Garland just for the reaction of the anti ‘local kid‘ crowd.
I like your thinking, but Fantilli requires Pasta. That is building, but that is also losing a leg to gain an arm.Elias LIndholm is the obvious choice for a center for now, however looking at the future, would like to see the Bruins go after both Shane Wright and the #2OA pick and take Adam Fantilli, this sets you up at center for the next 15 years. I would move McAvoy if need be for Fanitlli, this guy reminds me so much of MacKinnon, Wright could be close to a Bergeron type. Not sure what it would take to get Wright.
How was his physical game in juniors? Did he play with an edge or just dominate because of his size? How much of his offense was based on being able to run over 3rd pair JR D opposed to skill? He’s not especially physical (or impactful) yet, no. But he is still finding his way in the league.

I believe he will, too. We didn't need Orlov, Bertuzzi and Hathaway to set the all-time regular season record for points. Something tells me we aren't in such deep water. Lauko, Merkulov, Lettieri, McLaughlin, and Steen from a pool of P Bruin players that might fit into the lineup this coming year. Maybe Beecher with his size shows that he is well-suited to the pro game and makes the team? If Sweeney moves Grzelcyk, then Ahcan can take his place as this year's seemingly mandatory undersized D-man. Could Lohrei make a big impression and crack the lineup? These options don't take into account whether Bergi and Krejci stay, or hockey trades. I think next year's team will be competitive.Have faith in the Donny maestro . He will get it done.
Wright probably costs Pasta. I cannot see Francis dealing Wright, he has a young, lethal 1,2 punch at center for the next 15 years. I expect Wright to put up 20 goals 50 points next year for Seattle then bump up to a higher level and Selke candidate in a few years.Elias LIndholm is the obvious choice for a center for now, however looking at the future, would like to see the Bruins go after both Shane Wright and the #2OA pick and take Adam Fantilli, this sets you up at center for the next 15 years. With the guys you are suggesting for the lineup the last thing you have to worry about is a Presidents trophy.I believe he will, too. P.S. I sure as hell hope we don't win the President's Trophy again.
they will buy out reilly by Friday 30th. little wiggle room. dont see any moves happening personally.Bruins haven't cleared any room, I can't see anythng significant unless it's a straight up hockey deal
Maybe Pasta will help to pay his salary! I like Torey and IMO he was a great Bruin but that ship has sailed IMHO.Makes zero sense given their cap issues.
There is no way the price for Wright is Pasta, he has not proven anything as of yet, if they wanted a vet maybe Marchand or a younger guy maybe DeBrusk or Carlo + a prospect Lysell.Wright probably costs Pasta. Nothing like the old, “fill one hole and create another” trade suggestions. None of this is realistic, thankfully.
Truth hurts, but exactly this. That could cover this whole thread.
If anyone is really worth acquiring, almost every team has more assets and/or Cap space to make it happen than the Bruins do.
Gryz >>>>>>>Krug PassKrug to Boston thoughts:
- the Blues would have to retain salary to make it work on the Bruins end, which they probably don't want to do
- Krug would be the third pair and PP specialist, meaning the Bruins still need a top 4 LHD who can kill penalties
- Bruins would need to find a bottom pair RHD to offset some of Krug's size and help support him in their own end
- Grz for Krug@50 percent retained? I was a big Torey Krug fan and supporter but 4 more years on his contract and he's already 32. I'm not sure if that's the kind of contract length the Bruins need to attach themselves to considering his age. IMO, it's a nostalgia trap and one they should pass on
- the Blues would probably love to yeet Binnington into orbit and get a guy like Ullmark
