If Dubois goes to LA that leaves Lindholm. Don’t want Sheiffle. Hopefully there’s someone out there not being talked about the Bruins are trading for because the current names out there aren’t that interesting.

Not qualifying Frederic made no sense though. I don’t think many people believed that.
And much like with PLD, multiple teams interested in Lindholm. Not sure the Bs are left with enough to make a better offer than other teams will be able to do. Only way to outbid it seems would be to make a trade involving a very key Bs player.

I think you are right about players out there not being talked about. DS keeps his cards close to his vest. While it would be nice to bring in an established C with a long-term contract, it wouldn't surprise me if DS goes for a C (any age) that can hold down the fort for a year or two while longer-term options can open up down the road.

Of course it made no sense. But even one person believing it is one too many. And judging by what I read here, there was more than one.

LA going all in assuming the PLD trade goes through, and they still ned to solve their goaltending problem. Still my #1 Ullmark destination.

If Sweeney is going the ‘hold down the for for a year’ road, I think his choice of center will be Charlie Coyle.

LA also needs d-men. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see a deal, likely minor, between Boston and LA that involves a Bs d-man.
Could be a good forbort destination tbh. A big part of Gavrikov’s resurgence when he got to LA was that they limited his PKing pretty massively compared to what he was doing in Columbus. Bring in forbort to eat all those minutes.

You are probably right, but it is the wrong course and wrong choice. ...

Doubt they want Forbort back. Grz, on the other hand, would match them well.

Vilardi and Iafolla are the expected price for PLD. That’s who I wanted for PLD.

They are looking for a defensive LD too. Ullmark and Forbort would hit the spot but I don’t know if they have the cap space of the assets left to acquire them.

Ullmark+ for Danault or Swayman + Lysell for Byfield

I would rather have Charlie Coyle be our #1C than Danault.

Sway and Lysell for Byfield is interesting. Painful, but interesting.
I haven’t watched much of Byfield but was just looking at his DB… I didn’t know he was 6’5”. Is he physical? He hasn’t shown a ton of offense yet but size and age have me intrigued.

He’s not Stevens out there but he hits and plays d for sure.

He’s definitely not soft.

Poised for a breakout this year IMO, so this would be the last year we could acquire him

Re: Krug it’s very clear we need a bonafide PP QB and he’s exactly that. McAvoy is simply not a PP QB. Gryz is not a QB.

I’m incredibly biased, and haven’t watched enough of him on the Blues but I’d like to see him back if we can somehow make the numbers work.

He wants to be back too.

It sounds like he’s farther along in development than Turcotte. I would think they’d rather keep Byfield and trade Turcotte.

You know what else is really hard? Finding a top6 wing who is physical and likes to play around the net. Even harder if you’re trying to find someone under 28, and almost impossible if you want that guy to be a right shot.

Garland cough cough wish he was taller cough cough

Is Mantha a net front presence?
