Was looking over the list on CF of Group 6 UFA's and anyone who hasn't been QO'd (though I think there is still a few weeks left for teams to QO players). Two names I saw that I thought were interesting: Kieffer Bellows & Noah Juulsen.
Bellows was waived by NYI last year, claimed by the Flyers and now won't be getting a QO. Just turned 25yr old about a week ago and in his 95 NHL games he has 14G/14A/9.9S% to go along with 199 hits. Left shot winger who can play on either side. His best season came in '21-'22 where he played at an 82 game pace of 10G/24A. Seeing how much Monty helped some of the younger guys take the next step, maybe he could help Bellows carve out a nice bottom 6 role.
Juulsen has been on 3 teams since being drafted in 2015 by MTL in the 1st round. Hasn't been able to carve out a regular role with MTL, FLA or VAN in his career. In his 68 NHL games he has 2G/8A to go along with 104 blocks and 190 hits. He's got decent size at 6'2/200lb and is a RD which is something we don't have much of.
Neither of these names are going to wow people. These are low AAV gambles/lets see if we can catch lightning in a bottle type of players where you have little expectation that they become anything more than they already are.
