Flacco is both the fourth QB to start for the Browns this season and is also the fourth QB to win a game for the Browns.

Flacco is already hitting QB numbers the Browns haven't seen in a long time.

More shocking numbers: "According to NFL NextGen stats, Flacco threw 10 passes of at least 10 yards beyond the line of scrimmage. That’s the most of any Cleveland QB in five years.

He threw a pair of TD passes and became the oldest QB in Browns history to throw a TD pass. Flacco is 38 years and 321 days old. He passed up Don Strock (1989), who was 38 years and 21 days old when he was pressed into emergency duty."

it was obvious flacco was going to be an upgrade over DTR/walker. he clearly still had something left in the tank

How much of this was Flacco waiting for an ideal scenario? Seems like he could've been playing the entire time since he last "retired"

yeah, wouldn't surprise me at all if he was waiting for an injury to a QB on a contending team. probably wanted one more shot before calling it quits

He has no mobility, so returning to the Jets would not have gone well with their OL.

Good solid OL, he can function.

I believe Flacco said he wanted to be playing, so he wasn't going to sign with a team to watch.

This has been quite the season for a QB to wait like he did. Half of the AFC playoff contenders probably wish they'd called Flacco.

Now Cleveland has lost both starting OT and their backup one too. Not a great situation now for a non mobile QB in Flacco.

So far, this looks to have hurt the run game more than the passing game. We'll see how this goes. They might need to stop trying so many deep balls.

So what happens then? Put it back on the 20? Makes punching the ball out near the goal line worthless. I think if a defender touches it last it should be a touchback. If you fumble without being touched put it where ever.
The rules already provide an answer to your question.

If you're on their 30 and fumble with the ball rolling forward to the 25 and going out, the ball is spotted back at the 30 where you fumbled it. Keep it the same for a ball rolling out of your opponent's end zone. Bingo, the rulebook got a bit simpler because a silly exception to the rule is deleted.

No it doesn’t. Recover the fumble. Just like you’d have to do anywhere else on the field.

NFL planning to drop the hip drop tackle.

Not making it easy for the defense
