I think Id decline that award. I picture the award ceremony having tea with some princess - her pinky extended. Instead should be replaced with Lady Bang - most net groupies acquired.. would seem more indicative of hockey prowess.

Is quick/Bernier the last King goalie draft picks to become an NHL starter? It really seems like we have gone a loooong time since we drafted a goalie who can play. Done well with reclamation projects, etc. But drafting our own -- pretty, pretty, pretty bad it seems.

That would be it. They've drafted a few journeymen who never stuck as well, like Jeff Zatkoff, Jean-Francois Berube, and Christopher Gibson, but no starter drafted since 2006.
