I have to give TSN credit for comparing the 2023 Czechia team to the 2005 Canadian World Junior Team in their pre game show.

After 2 games, the comparison was spot on.

We haven't beat Sweden or Germany in my son's lifetime and those are our next 2 opponents.

The minutes were very evenly played out as Rulik rolled the lines... almost everyone was between 14 to 19 minutes.

Adam Csabi is apparantly 'not too shabby' (Sandler reference)



I think the important thing is that, win or lose, scouts may start taking longer looks at Czech prospects and a few more get drafted or signed... eg. Szturc as an overager, Suchanek as an overager because grabbing Spacek as an overager is looking like a steal now (and probably Malik).

It's a shame everyone is arguing at home with Hadamczak (idiot) because there are some nice things happening after 3 years without a first rounder...

They tend to average about 6 goals to our 2. They just cancelled our chance for our first medal in 17 years this summer.

Last time we beat Sweden was 2003 and most our team was born in 2003 or 2004. I think not one Czech player was alive the last time we beat Sweden at this tournament (eg. the 2003 victory was in December 31st of 2002) and our old guys were born in 2003 (Svozil)

I hope the Czechs are not riding high on Twitter and buying into the hype. They need to be VERY humble tomorrow. Put on their workboots and stick to their game! We are literally looking for a once in a lifetime win tomorrow.

Okay, it's a legendary win for Sweden against the Czech Republic, I'm just surprised you missed it.

The last 11 games were won by Sweden with a combined score of 58-15. That's pretty good for Sweden, but the streak will be broken tomorrow with a Czech win. And I hope it will only be a small defeat.
