I suspect Kurashev and the Hawks (hearing scheduled for the 20th) will get something done.

Dunn and Samsonov coming up in the next 8 days are the 2 big ones...

Kurashev's hearing is in 2 days, I believe both sides have now submitted their $ ask to the arbitrator. Usually Friedman is the one to tweet these but he's probably on vacation.

Sure hope they can work out a deal before the hearing - there's such a positive vibe around the team right now I don't want any animosity creeping in.

Player side will always go high while team will lowball. I think his ask is closer to his worth then what Leafs peg it at

I suspect they meet in middle range (3.5M-3.6M) but wouldn't be shocked if he gets $4M if this goes thru to arbitration.

Yep.

This is why it's possible that it might go to arbitration if Samsonov camp believes that as well.

Samsonov is 1 year away from UFA. Look at what Jarry signed for. My guess is it will take a lot more than 4 M per to get 3 UFA years.

That's really not that big of an ask by Kurashev, for a young, rebuilding Chicago team, especially since it'd be a short deal

I think Samsonov has a stronger case than Vanacek or Georgiev. So I’d estimate more like $3.7-$3.8m if it goes through full arbitration.
